San Bernardino, the largest county in California, is the state’s eighteenth largest city. The city's location at the junctions of three major freeways positions it as an intermodal logistics hub. The city hosts the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway's Intermodal freight transport yard, the Yellow Freight Systems' cross-docking trucking center, and Pacific Motor Trucking. Large warehouses for Kohl's, Mattel, Pep Boys, and Stater Bros. have been developed near the San Bernardino International Airport.
Government, retail, and service industries dominate the economy of San Bernardino. In the past ten years jobs have increased almost forty percent. Government was both the largest and the fastest-growing employment sector. Other significant sectors were retail and education, with California State University, San Bernardino being the largest employer. Other employers of over one thousand include Caltrans District 8, the city of San Bernardino, Community Hospital, San Bernardino City Unified School District, San Bernardino County Sheriff, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, Stater Brothers Markets, and St. Bernardine Medical Center.
Over the last few decades, the city's riverfront district along Hospitality Lane has drawn much of the regional economic development away from the historic downtown of the city so that the area now hosts a full complement of office buildings, big-box retailers, restaurants, and hotels situated around the Santa Ana River.
San Bernardino hosts several major events annually, including Route 66 Rendezvous, the Berdoo Bikes & Blues Rendezvous, the National Orange Show, and the Western Regional Little League Championships. San Bernardino is home to the historic Arrowhead Springs Hotel and Spa, located in the Arrowhead Springs neighborhood, which contains some of the hottest hot springs in the world, in addition to mineral baths and the famous steam caves located deep underground.

Perhaps nothing is more upsetting than purchasing a brand new item, using it a few times, and then having it break on you. Product warranties being what they are, manufacturers often will not cover typical wear and tear on an item, stating that "user error" caused the malfunction, instead of an innate flaw in their product, and more often than not, you’ll be out the money you dropped on your to...
Want to know what are the largest animals? Size has always mattered, and the saying "Bigger is better" is a common one. Like many sayings, this one may have been born from truth, as in the animal kingdom, a larger creature is far less likely to have survival issues. Perhaps this is because no one wants to pick on the big guy, perhaps Darwin's theory is appropriate. Whichever reason carries more...
California has faced a serious economic crisis for several years now, and at this point it is a state nearly $20 billion in debt. The state Senate is fervently trying to brainstorm how to fix this issue, and with the governor's help every day is a new struggle to amend its financial burdens. One of the most controversial ideas thrown out by the governor is "outsourcing" prisons to Mexico to hou...
